In combination with the National Merit Scholarship, the Provost Scholarship is valued at $2,000 per academic year and may be added to other scholarships awarded by UT. It is available to first-year in-state and out-of-state students.

Chancellor’s Scholarship

The Chancellor’s Scholarships are merit-based, competitive scholarships awarded to incoming first-year students. Students must have a minimum 31 ACT (1390 SAT) and 4.0 UT Core GPA to be awarded these scholarships.

  • Available To: First Year, Current, Transfer, In-State, Out-of-State
  • Award: Range in amount from $5,000 to $10,000 per year; 1-5 year awards

Distinguished Tennessean Award

This prestigious scholarship is awarded to one student in each of the 95 Tennessee counties. Our Distinguished Tennesseans embody academic preparedness, community involvement, and a passion for the Volunteer spirit.

  • Available To: First-Year, Current; In-State
  • Award: Tuition & Mandatory Fees; 4-year award
  • Deadline: November 1
