- National Merit Scholars at UT Dallas receive:
- Complete coverage of UT Dallas tuition and mandatory fees for up to eight semesters. (Four academic years following initial enrollment.)
- $4,000 per semester cash stipend to defray the costs of books, supplies, and other expenses.
- $1,500 per semester stipend for on-campus housing. (Students living at home or in nearby apartments are not eligible to receive the housing stipend.)
- Study abroad stipend of up to $6,000 to support international education.
- One-time summer research stipend of $4,500.
- Admission into Collegium V Honors program.
- To be eligible for the National Merit Scholarship Package at UT Dallas, students must:
- Be named a National Merit Finalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

- Academic Excellence Scholarship
- The Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) are offered each year to incoming, first-time-college freshmen. Award criteria and amounts vary with each applicant cohort.
- Comet Scholars Program
- The Comet Scholars Program targets students who have a record of academic excellence in high school or community college and show significant financial need.
- This scholarship can be used to cover education-related expenses including tuition, fees, and housing. Each student will receive $5,000 per year for a maximum of eight semesters of undergraduate study.
- Eugene McDermott Scholars Program
- The Eugene McDermott Scholars Program (EMSP) is a full-ride undergraduate merit scholarship program open to domestic and international students in all majors.
- Around 20 McDermott Scholarships are awarded each year.
- McDermott Scholarships are awarded to students with records of outstanding academic achievement and outstanding leadership and service who are committed to participating in the extracurricular, leadership, and service dimensions of the McDermott Scholars Program.
- The Terry Foundation
- The scholarship covers the full cost of attendance, up to eight semesters; this includes tuition, fees, meal plan, housing, textbooks, and other educational expenses.
- The Terry Foundation also provides $5,000 for scholars to study abroad.
