National Merit
National Merit Finalists:
The Idaho National Merit Scholar program guarantees a scholarship that covers university-defined educational costs for basic tuition and fees, and housing and meals in a U of I residence hall for four years to all National Merit Finalists who declare the University of Idaho as their first-choice institution. For non-residents, a full non-resident tuition waiver (value $19,236) is also included.

Students are automatically considered for our institutional aid, such as the Go Idaho! Program, WUE tuition waivers and the Invitation to Idaho tuition waiver, as well as our donor-funded scholarships. There are no separate scholarship applications required. Students are considered for all scholarship options upon the completion of their admissions application.
