National Merit

  • Chancellor's Merit Scholarship
    • Annual award of $10,000 per year to National Merit, corporate, and University of Arkansas sponsored National Merit scholars.
    • Awarded to Merit finalists who name the University of Arkansas as 1st choice to the National Merit Corporation.
    • Applicants should notify the Scholarship Office at scholars@uark.edu or 479-575-4464 of selection as a semifinalist or finalist.
    • If non-resident - students awarded the Chancellor's Merit Scholarship also receive a New Arkansan Non-Resident Tuition Award Scholarship (Annual award ranging from $9,500 - $17,000 per year based on 30 hours of enrollment).
    • Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students) with 30 hours per year and 2.75 GPA.

    • Awarded to students from underrepresented communities who have demonstrated outstanding academic leadership qualities and potential.
  • Advance Arkansas Scholarship
    • Annual award up to $4000 per year.
    • Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students).
    • Awarded to top students in the applicant pool with financial need as represented on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
    • Preference to first-generation college students.
